The Italian film, Benvenuti al Sud, plays on stereotypes and stark differences between Milanese and Neapolitan cultures. This comedy of errors highlights some of the key pragmatic differences in Naples. For example, in the first video below, the protagonist addresses the woman in the kitchen using the formal "lei", she looks around confused. The man doesn't understand her confusion, until final she says to her son in dialect, "but who is she?" while he explains to the man that they don't use that form.
