Coffee is an incredibly important part of Neapolitan culture and has several pragmatic features. Italians drink coffee at "bars"and typically will drink standing up. Cappucini are for mornings, only with espresso preferred for later in the day. The following video shows how to make traditional Neapolitan coffee and explain the tradition of "caffe sospeso" in Naples, wherein people leave money for "suspended coffees" or buy a coffee for someone who cannot afford one. Another example is when you want to give someone a tip or a small gift, you would say it was so they could buy themselves a coffee.
